We had such a fun time during our handwriting celebration! We practiced our letters with shaving cream, pudding, chalk, and sand! Thank you to Mrs. Ruscigno, Mrs. Lydon, Mrs. Uhrich, and Mrs. Hays! We couldn't have done it without you!
Rereading builds fluency and comprehension skills. We are using a chart and a clothespin to help us keep track of our reading. If it's a new book, we start at number one. If it's an old favorite, we go to number 3 or 4. These charts will be kept in our reading baggies at school and in our red folders. In math we played roll and record. We rolled, added, and recorded the number on a chart. We love math games in KKG! We read The Big Snow today. We are learning about how different animals prepare for and behave during the winter. In math we explored 100 boards and searched for patterns! We had a snowball fight in the classroom this morning! Ask your child how we did this. Have fun in the snow! Such great thinking and negotiation during choice time. The "connector" group is creating an interesting fleet. Notice the symmetry in their creations! The students at the imagination station decided on a pizza restaurant after much negotiation. They are creating menus, food, signs, and even umbrellas for drinks! |
