We learned that writers persuade people by writing problems away. One way they do this is by making signs. We created signs to persuade our friends to change their behavior to solve problems in the classroom. Today we learned that some people persuade others by writing songs. We decided to give it a shot! As a class, we wrote a song about pushing in chairs, turning off electricity, and sharing!
We had a great day in KKG. We learned about mystery numbers and how to find the mystery numbers. Everyone had so many strategies they could use. Try this problem at home tonight.
Mrs. Greenhall had 4 flowers and Mrs. Kennedy brought some more flowers to school. Now they have 10 flowers all together. Write a math sentence and figure out the mystery number. 4 + ? = 10 Ms. Navarro visited us today to teach us about the importance of hand washing. Ask your child what song to sing while washing. We also celebrated the invention of dissolving packing peanuts! Thank you for sharing, Dylan! So earth friendly! We learned about more earth-friendly things we can do every day and added a personal promise to our Earth Day books. Ask your child to read you the book today. Maybe the whole family can make a promise. We had two special visitors today...Liam Greenhall and our guest reader, Mr. Singh! Thank you! Happy Earth Day! We read a book about a leopard persuading a man not to cut down trees in the rain forest. We also discussed ways to reuse things so we can be earth friendly. We turned trash into treasures! Thank you, Mrs. Lydon and Mrs. Uhrich, for helping us out today and bringing dirt cups for snack. |
