A fun day in KKG! The gingerbread man came to visit but escaped through our kindergarten window before we could catch him. Ask your child where his clues lead us? We played games, watched a gingerbread sing-a-long movie, and voted on our favorite version of The Gingerbread Man. We were comfy all day long in our pjs! Happy Holidays! See you next year!
We filled in the missing vowels in our gingerbread poem. It's so tricky to hear those middle sounds! We wrote a thank you card to each of our class moms today! We like to call them our "party moms". Mrs. Uhrich and Mrs. Lydon, you are the best! Thank you! Thank you! We did a little bit of everything today. We are so proud of our hard-working, independent students! We learned about vowels today and practiced listening for them as we stretched out the middle of words. We added another poem to our shared reading books and highlighted some new "snap" words. In math, we explored numbers with calculators! Thank you to our guest reader, Grandma Uhrich, for reading "Just Grandma and Me". We practiced organizing our books as we read. First, we set up our spots. Then, we read our books. Next, we re-stack them and read them again. We read, and read, and read, until a teacher says stop. In math,we used our sense of touch to choose the designated shape from "feely boxes". This was tricky! We were treated to a concert from the Knollwood band and glee club. Such talent in FH! |
