We had a great time at the petting zoo today. The kids got to feed, pet and brush the animals. So sorry for the sideways pictures but they were just too cute not to post.

Our class collection is growing. Today we added 46 bottle caps and now have 78 all together. The kids want to reach 100. Help them figure out how many more we will need to collect to get from 78 to 100.
We had a busy day in KKG. We used dice to help us subtract numbers and learned that when we subtract we start with the highest number. We used the number line to practice subtraction.
Don't forget to keep writing in your ordinary events notebook that came home in folders yesterday. We miss having Mrs. Kennedy with us this week and hope she is having a blast at Stokes. We went on a trip to the rainforest today! Thank you, PTA! Thank you to our guest reader, Aunt Kim (Binder)! Studying our chicks' behavior... Some stayed close to the brooder box while others were more adventurous and walked around a bit. They were enticed by their food and water. We named our little yellow chick after our custodian, Miss Joyce, who has been helping take care of our chicks after we leave each day. We each had a turn holding one today and made sure to wash our hands afterwards. Thank you to our guest reader, Mr. Ruscigno! |
